She does not grasp the emotion of it all.
Bon Iver claims that love can be skinny. Love cannot be skinny though, it can only be fat and thick.. and omnipresent. In both mind and physic. Love can't be of a different kind, or of a different substance. It will always feel the same. It will always hurt as much as give pleasure. Love has so many sides, it will always be equivelent to itself. It will always be as much good as it is bad, needed as much as neglected to a bad state of mind. Love can't be skinny.

In the mean time, I agree that she fails to grasp the emotion of it all :P At least, I'm connecting the dots here. Ik zag op facebook namelijk dat je birdy's versie luisterde op spotify.
ReplyDeleteMore importantly, ja, ik denk stiekem een beetje dat poedersuiker dan dun is, en stroop dan dik, en dat liefde dan stroop is. Het landt traag op je bord, en gaat er nog moeilijker vanaf soms, terwijl de afwas dan toch echt moet worden gedaan : (
I totally agree. Stroop blijft maar vies plakken en zelfs als je het er dan af wast, plakt je bord stiekem nog steeds een beetje. En ook al is de liefde er niet meer, in ieder geval niet in je hoofd, toch blijft het een beetje plakken. Love leaves its trace just like syrup. Was liefde maar poedersuiker. Dan kon je het er gewoon vanaf vegen en hoefde het bord niet eens gewassen te worden.
